Central Cylinder has the experience, equipment, parts and the knowledge to repair and overhaul the GO, IGO, and IGSO series Lycoming engines. In 1998 Textron Lycoming sold the remaining NOS inventory of parts and components, as well as remaining factory-rebuilt components for these engines to Central Cylinder Service. Central Cylinder continues to purchase new and on-condition parts, components, and engine cores from around the world. Central Cylinder is the only FAA certified repair station to offer overhauled Simmonds fuel injection units, either exchange or outright. We also provide support for Bendix fuel systems and magnetos.

Central Cylinder has factory tooling and fixtures to overhaul accessory drive units and gearboxes. We also use our own custom designed tooling and procedures to restore these complicated and valuable engines to new limits. Each and every component must meet strict guidelines for proper fit and clearances. Impellers are balanced as well as the crankshaft assembly. Crankcases are milled and align honed/bored to new limits and nose cases and accessory housings are matched to the crankcase. Completed engines are test run on site prior to shipment.
