LIMITED SERVICE WARRANTY
Central Cylinder Service, Inc. (“CCS”) makes the following warranty to its
customers, subject to limitations, conditions, and exclusions set forth
below.
WARRANTY COVERAGE: For a period of 24 months after the date of delivery to
the customer, or 50% of manufactures recommended TBO. (I.E. if rated for
1200 hour TBO, CCS will offer 600 hours of coverage) whichever occurs
first, CCS shall repair or replace, at its option, any engine part which
CCS repaired which has been found within the warranty period to be
defective to CCS’s satisfaction. This includes the cost of parts and
labor. CCS shall not be obligated to repair or replace any part which is
found after the above warranty period to be defective.
CONDITIONS and PROCEDURES for Obtaining Warranty Work: The forgoing
warranty shall be in effect ONLY if the defective engine or component
serviced is returned to CCS, at the customer’s expense, together with the
particulars of the nature of the defect, or if the customer or his
representative contacts CCS for verification, inspection, and
authorization of a warranty repair. The forgoing warranty shall apply only
if, the engine or component has been properly installed and maintained in
accordance with current approved standards of the United States Federal
Aviation Administration and current recommendations of the manufacturer as
specified in the applicable manual and service bulletins. The performance
of recommended inspections and maintenance MUST be documented by logbook
entries which must accompany any engine or component returned for warranty
work. Defects must be discovered within the warranty period and CCS must
be given prompt notice thereof in writing within ten days of discovery.
LIMITATONS, EXCLUSIONS, and DISCLAIMERS: CCS shall not warranty any
aircraft cylinder or crankcase that has fatigue, heat or stress cracks.
CCS shall not assume freight charge, transportation or delivery expense,
installation and removal cost or airframe repairs, all of which are
excluded under this warranty. CCS does not warranty parts, materials, or
service supplied or performed by others including, without limitation,
parts such as magnetos, starters, alternators, or turbochargers which are
purchased from a manufacturer and assembled as a unit without altering the
unit. This warranty shall not apply to any engine or component that has
been subject to misuse, neglect, accident, stalled, repaired, maintained,
or altered in any manner which, in the judgement of CCS has had an adverse
effect on the engine or parts. This warranty shall not apply to any engine
which has been operated under conditions which exceed the manufacturer’s
recommendations. This warranty shall not apply to any engine or component
that has been altered or repaired in any manner outside the CCS facility.
CCS will not warranty any engine or component that has operated on auto
fuel. The use of auto fuel voids all warranties written or implied.
CCS shall not cover any damage caused by multi-grade oil and or improper
lubricants or additives, CCS will determine if damage is from multi-grade
oils, improper lubricants or additives.
In no event shall CCS be liable for consequential or incidental damages or
economic loss of any nature whether arising in contract or tort, including
strict liability in tort, or negligence on the part of CCS.
There are no warranties which extend beyond the warranty contained herein.
This warranty is in lieu of any and all other warranties, expressed or
implied, including the warranties of merchantability and fitness for a
particular purpose and the items sold are sold “as-is.”
THIS WARRANTY IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT WRITTEN NOTICE, and only
applies to engines and components received after 9-1-2001.
